T-top insert ??? Such a thing?

My 96 Z28 is a t-top. I have been looking for some type of insert or something to put in when the t-tops are out. When the t-tops are out during the summer I want to put something in place to cover up the t-bar and the rest of that area. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I just think it would look nicer if there were an insert or something covering up all that space....

I don't mean cover up the whole think like another t-top would. I mean cover up the the bar and the front space and the rear space. This is hard to word I guess. .. ][ Say those colon things there is the t-bar in my camaro when the t-tops are out...I want to put something in there: in the top of my car. When the t-tops are out the headliner and the scratched unpolished part is showing. Does that make sense? OR am I just tying a bunch of nonsense...

Yeah...the bar where the t-tops lock into place. I think that there should be some sort of cover or insert that goes in there and covers up that area. It would just be something extra...it would look nice too. Covering up that area...

It looks a lot better if you clean it well and polish it up.

I know what you mean, and I've looked for it, but can't find it either. Basically, it's a mini car cover for just the t-top area. There's time when I park my car and don't want to bother to put the t-tops back on, but I don't want the sun beating down on the leather either.

I don't know if they make it for our cars, but I've seen it for other cars with a solid removable top.

Let me know if you find it.

As best I can tell, he isn't looking for a "mini car cover". He is looking for a ][ shaped cover that would go over the exposed areas of the windshield header, the center bar for the t-tops, and the leading edge of the roof panel. That would sell well. He wants to cover up the unfinished looking area, not cover the complete opening for the t-tops.

Exactly!!! That's what I'm looking for. I guess if there isn't one, I will fabricate something myself. If I come up with something nice...I'll post it

Cool idea, I can imagine it being a hard plastic painted the same as the body or black.
