How rare is my car?

I'd like to find an exact production number if I could

It is a 1994 6-speed Convertible Z-28

It is a very early production car, and the original owner told me it was the first production 6-speed convertible built.

The original owner stated this car was a special order 9 months out. It is to his understanding the first 6 speed Z-28 convertible produced. In addition the color is rare. He ordered the car with all available options. Leather was not available, so he had the dealer install it before taking delivery. It had a cloth interior originally and was dealer-upgraded to leather from Classic Soft Trim.

The car is also a very rare color... Grey-green metallic.

I know that 4,932 Z-28s were produced as convertibles
8,742 6-speed cars were built and 4,710 cars were this color.

Is there a way to look up the exact number of cars like mine??
I'm guessing there could not had been more than 1,000 6speed converts... Probobly less than 100 in my color.

How do I verify these numbers and find out if this car was really the first one built?

Here's some info from CamaroSource.ca....

http://www.camarosource.ca/php/camar....php?year=1994

According to them, 4,710 total Green-Grey Metallic Camaros were built.

I would also suggest contacting GM Canada as they can verify certain production numbers of rare Canadian built cars. Here's a link, too...

Do a search on Z28 production numbers. You can find it somewhere.

According to the Camaro White Book, there where 5801 built in that color in '94, but that's not just Z's. That includes all Camaro's for that year.

The book I have is called Mike Antonick's genuine Camaro White Book. I got mine at Amazon.com. It doesn't really break things up the way one would like. For instance, it will give the number of a certain option sold that year, but includes all Camaro's. How many were made with a certain color, etc. It does break down the numbers for each model though.

You'll get better responce if you start your own thread. Hijacking another persons post is not the way to do it. I'm sure you meant no harm. Good luck.

I found more information at a website

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

Simply enter your VIN and see how rare any options combination is.

I found out that my car is 1 of 4 Z28 Convertibles with M6 in my same paint color. 1 of 2 with a graphite interior.

Crazy with that site! My white '97 is 1 of 1, and my '96 SS 1 of 3, and I would imagine with the lowes badge number (#58).
