Actually, I think he means camaro's without t-tops.
The numbers for coupe vs/ vert includes both t-top and non t-top cars in the coupe catigory. To my knowlage, no numbers have yet to be released concerning the variance in production between t-top and non t-top cars. Even then, the chances of finding out how many were Z28's, V-6's, and if any SS's were produced without t-tops would be slim.

Yet another f-body mystery... for now.

I dont have any numbers for you but in my opinion I think they are kinda rare. I looked a long time for my Z and T/A to find non-T-top cars and have no plans of selling either of them any time soon. My search was also for cars with cloth interior, so that made it harder also. Right now Iam searching for an LS1 camaro ( SS would be nice ) and it seems the newer the car the harder it is to find without T-tops and without leather and I want a car without traction control also. I cant even consider an LS1 T/A ( 98-02 ) they come standard with leather and T-tops, but would buy a Formula if the right one was found.

If you minus the t-top number from the coupe number you'd have the number of hardtops built. Using the stats given for 1994, that would be 33,909 hard tops in 94 which is more then 1/4 of all the cars made that year.

There were 69,917 hard tops built in 94. It's impossilbe to tell how many were hardtop Z28s because the numbers don't break down down that far. Seeing that over half in just 1994 were hard tops. You'd have to guess that hard tops are not rare at all. I had to look for awhile to find my M6 t-top car. Almost every other M6 car I found was a hard top.

My top is hard, it just comes apart.

Dont want to jack your thread but how rare is a '93 six speed? Not sure if its the m28 or m29 though. Dont know how to check.

Don't have the #'s on '93 M6's, but there are indeed fairly rare for that first year production of LT1's. They either came with 2.73 or 3.23 gearing from the factory (for that year only). Every other M6 has come from the factory with 3.42's since.

BTW, it seems to me that hardtops for older LT1's ('93-'95ish) are somewhat uncommon. Almost every LT1 Z28 I look at has T-Tops. I'd personally love to find a clean hardtop sometime next spring...

I purchased my hardtop camaro for a decent price. It was very easy to find in my area too. I live in the great north so there isnt really any need for T-tops or Vert. Everything you see around here is hardtop. Its more uncommon to see a vert.

I personally haven't seen that many hard tops around. I think they're rare enough that, IMO, please don't go chopping yours up to make it a T-top. There's plenty of T-top cars around so if you want one, go buy one. My next F-body will be a hard top.

Look at my sig, I consider mine kinda rare. The main reasons I bought my camaro were because it was a hardtop AND it was a M6. I wasnt too thrilled that it was a 93 though, but its a fully loaded 93 at that. Plus it has 109k miles which isnt bad considering its age.

My '94 Z28 was a hardtop, and I didn't really think much about it until I picked up the TA. It was only then I realized how much I enjoyed having the hardtop, as well as cloth interior, as leather and T-tops in Houston don't go together well .

BTW- T-tops weren't available in '93 if I'm not mistaken. Could be wrong but I'm 99% sure.
