How long do YOU let RTV set for?
So I put my water pump on yesturday. Let the Black RTV cure for the appropriate amount of time. I have yet to add coolant to my car so as of now it is between bone dry and moist. How long would you let the RTV set for before you add coolant? (in hours please)?

Regular RTV is corrosive and should not be used on aluminum parts. There are non-corrosive sealants that can be used, most are gray.
Also with the improvements in quality of modern engines I see no reason to smear RTV all over my gaskets. Usually does more harm then good.
If you feel you have to have something, a light spray adhesive/sealant should be all that's needed.
In any case RTV does not need to be full cured, just "setup", which only takes a few minutes. It used to say this in the directions?

Hopefully, it was Permatex Ultra Black. Permatex Ultra Black RTV is an oxime silicone (ref. Permatex Technical Data Sheet SIN: 834-300), which will not corrode aluminum. Oxime silicones are O2 sensor safe, as well. Permatex Black is an acetoxy-cure silicone sealant (vinegar smell), and can be corrsive to copper and aluminum.

From Permatex, for the Ultra Black:
Permatex Ultra Black Gasket Maker cures on exposure to moisture in the air. The product dries tack free in two hours and fully cures in 24 hours. Cure times will vary with temperature, humidity and gap.

+1 on right stuff. Have used it in MANY applications and it is true in advertising that vehicle can return to service Immediately. I even sealed my leaking windshield with this stuff Have used it on valve covers and other components that only use an "RTV" type gasket with excellent results.
