Good Keyless Entry

Anyone installed an aftermarket keyless entry system on their fbody? How difficult is it? Where can I get a good keyless entry system...I dont need any of the hoopla hoopla gizmo remote start stuff...all I want is something that unlock and locks my doors with a button...and also will pop the trunk. The less amount of wires to deal with the better...hehe. Someone chime in please!

Re: Good Keyless Entry

I installed an alarm with keyless entry. It was pretty tricky, and if you do not have some wiring knowledge it is best to do some research. Took me an afternoon total since I did mine pieces at a time.

Re: Good Keyless Entry

Yes our locks have reverse polarity locks. The keyless entry systems should come with relays that hook up to the door lock/unlock wires. If all you are going to wire is the keyless entry it is fairly easy, and not all that hard to do.

Re: Good Keyless Entry

That looks like it would be good enough, and if all you want is keyless entry. I don't know exactly how that system would hook up to the locks, but if everything that is needed is included it looks good enough.

That's what I have. They are loud! It takes a little more wiring to put an alarm in, but not a whole lot.

There's the wires to use, and locations. That should be pretty straight forward.
