Smile Hope this helps someone.

Bought my 1993 z28 this past July.Original 38XXX miles and it's beautiful.Did the basic stuff(I owned 1993 Formula before from 1998 to 2004),plugs,wires,coil,fuel filter, stock air filter.sprayed throttle body cleaner in the throttle body, used idle control valve cleaner on that as well.I had a rough idle I was trying to chase down.I'm no mechanic, but I've been a member here since 1998 and learned a thing or two.(Forgot a lot to.)Well anyway I decided to take the car in to our local Chevy dealership for the rough idle.A week later they called me and said I needed all new fuel injectors at a cost of $2250.00.I said no and picked up what was once clean car but now was filthy and has a new scratch on the hood,I.mean bird crap and everything. So I decided to hunt down my old mechanic who used to work on my car(He has worked on GM cars now for 35 years).Left the car with him today and he ran every test possible and said everything was dead on.Electrical,emissions,opti,.(I forgot to mention I had the radiator power flushed, rear end with additive done and new tires pit on 2 weeks earlier. After checking the fuel pressure he hooked up a machine I think to the fuel line to clean out the injectors. They are all firing perfectly by the way.He doesn't believe it's the after market alarm system. He said he ran into a similar situation before and it was the torque converter.they have weights that fall off,and something about a bad spline gear.He doesn't
do transmissions and said does the problem go away after 55 mph or so and I said yes.He said not to worry about now.Took the car home, idles better, drives real nice now.Hope this helps somebody. Hope I posted in the right place.
