Hissing noise when turning a/c off

My a/c makes a hissing noise when I turn it off for a few seconds then quits? Would this be a vaccine leak or normal operation

Are you talking about inside the car when you move the mode control? It is vacuum operated, so yeah it will hiss for a few seconds as it bleeds off the vacuum. It has nothing to do with a vaccine.

Meant to say vacuum. Stupid auto correct. But anyways I was wondering because where all 3 vacuum lines meet at the check valve under the hood in my car had no check halfheartedness it was just a 3 way port for them all 3 to connect to. It was shaped like a fork in a road so I replace it with the correct check valve from GM. Wanted to make sure I didn't screw anything up

With the correct part, you are probably now getting proper vacuum and that may be why you are hearing a difference.
