help please

Re: help please
Might be the ignition switch or connection there. Use a meter or test light to see if all the fuses that are powered when the switch is ON are getting power. Or a more basic start would be to check fuses.

Re: help please
I pulled all the fuses in the fuse box on the side of the dash and the ones in the relay box under the hood they looked good nothing looked broken or blown. Is there more fuses than rose that I don't know about? Is there a way to bypass the security system and put a kill switch and pasha button toggle to start it?

Re: help please
There are fusible links on the red wires attached to the red "+" box near the battery:

Follow Rob/Shoebox's instructions. You have to do more than look at the fuses. You have to use a volt meter to see if the fuses that are supplied by the ignition switch are actually getting 12V power.

Re: help please
We need to know exactly what doesn't work in the instrument cluster, back-lighting or gauges, and if gauges, which ones. Does the voltmeter gauge work?

Re: help please
No lights or gauges work at all. Ran voltmeter and getting power to one side of the relay box under the hood but not the other. I ran a hot wire from the 5amp fuse to the 10 amp ignition fuse and had lights on dash but still not starting. Not sure what to do to get power back to ignition side of the box

Re: help please
I think that confirms Rob's suspicion about the ignition switch. It would help to further confirm that if you could measure the voltage (ignition on) at each fuse in both fuse/relay panels. You can buy a test meter or test light at H/F for about $5-6. Reference the meter/lamp to chassis ground.

Re: help please
Did that with the switch on and getting 0 volts to fuse box on side of the dash and the relay box as well. Is it possible to run a hot wire to the ignition and make it work? I'm on limited funds at this time due to an up coming wedding and my future father in law being in a bad accident. I will be able to get it fixed right after the wedding just need a quick fix for now because we only have one car in the family

Re: help please
Problem with that analysis is there are two 12V feed wires to the fuse box on the end of the dash panel - one (red wire) is "unswitched" and comes directly from the red "+" box near the battery. The other is "switched" (brown wire) - starts at the red box, but passes through the ignition switch. If you actually checked both feeds to the I/P fuse block, and both had 0 volts, it would point to a blown fusible link at the red "+" box.

Re: help please
I am getting power to the 2 5amp fuses one marked abs/ignition and the other abs/battery, but no power to the other side that is a 10amp marked ignition. Checked all fuse able links at the red box near the battery all are giving me 12 v.

Re: help please
Now see, there are more than two fuses on that side and you have not indicated which ones have power there. Nor have you indicated which fuses inside the car have power. We are trying to help you remotely, and that requires you to be our eyes and hands to gather information, so we can direct you to (hopefully) the exact cause of the problem. If that is too much to ask, I can bow out now, Good luck.

Re: help please
I'm trying to post a pic of the relay box but can't figure out how to do it from my phone. If there is a fuse that I'm not testing point me in the right direction. I've tested only the ones marked ignition
