Heater core replacement procedure?

Is there a writeup posted somewhere on how to replace the heater core?
Does the dash have to be removed like the 3rd gens?

The first place to look with a question like this is Shoebox's site. Www.shbox.com

It's there....

Re: Heater core replacement procedure?

Actually, it's not.

It is very simple, though. Remove hoses and the clamp between pipes in the engine compartment. Remove lower RH dash panel (and glove box, if you need room). Remove cover on HVAC housing to get to the core. I think there is a bolt/clamp in there on the core, IIRC. Wrangle the core out and reverse to install.

Yeah did that and a search on here, reason I posted

Ok, so it will come out by removing the lower PS under dash cover and the glove box. Was hoping I wouldn't have to pull the entire dash cover like I did on the '89 a few years back!
Thanks for the reply Rob!

I think someone posted a step by step in the general tech forum some time ago. It should be close to what I said.
