Actually, it's not.
It is very simple, though. Remove hoses and the clamp between pipes in the engine compartment. Remove lower RH dash panel (and glove box, if you need room). Remove cover on HVAC housing to get to the core. I think there is a bolt/clamp in there on the core, IIRC. Wrangle the core out and reverse to install.

Ok, so it will come out by removing the lower PS under dash cover and the glove box. Was hoping I wouldn't have to pull the entire dash cover like I did on the '89 a few years back!

I think someone posted a step by step in the general tech forum some time ago. It should be close to what I said.
