Head lights won't pop up

Head lights won't pop up

So my headlights won't come up I turn the switch the fogs come on, but the headlghts motor doesn't even make a noise? Any ideas on things i should check? Would love it get it fixed before summer!

Also both lights stopped working at the same time so i don't think both motors pooped out at oncE right ?

Might want to add info regarding the year and model of the vehicle. In any case, it has nothing to do with "Computer Diagnostics...." so I'll move it to "General 67-02 F-Body Tech".

Could be the headlight door module, located in the drivers front fender on the side of the air filter box (stock location), or the power to the module.

do those just go bad over time? How do i go about checking it? are they exspensive?

Fuse can blow at any time. Module can fail electrically. My 94 Formula has never had a problem though.

The headlight doors are controlled by fuses #3 and #4 in the underhood convenience box. Check those first. I don't know where to find a schematic for the headlight motors.

The headlights can also fail due to the gears in the motors. Here's a good reference on problems related to the gears:
