My fuel gauge in the ins.cluster does not work in my 95 z28. Does anyone know what to look for to fix it??

Your site is awesome shoebox. My gauge doesn't work. I just figured it was my sending unit, but it might be worth checking to confirm. Considering how long my car sat in storage, I would be surprised if it weren't the sending unit. I didn't replace it when I replaced my pump a few years back, but now I need another new pump, and I had decided I was also going to replace the sending unit this time around, but might want to confirm that it's bad beforehand.

Here's an odd one....does the cigarette lighter work? If not, check the fuse and replace if it's blown. That actually happened on my '95 and no one was more surprised than me.....lol

Well with the key out the gauge needle is stuck in position. Just underneath a 1/2 tank. Could this be a ground problem? The previous owner of the car which was a shop did all custom fuel work on the car.

Did you try the key ON tests on my link to see if the gauge moves? Key OFF indications don't always mean anything, unless the gauge needle, itself, is stuck.
