people are too hard on the flowmasters all my friends are constantly telling me to ditch it i like the sound and i just drive my car i dont race it.

I have heard magnaflow and flowmaster and I like the flowmaster way better.

The sound quality is all about love. The HP gains are the only thing that occasionally get ragged on here. But like has been previously said you only give up a few horses so for the not so die hard racers it's all good. Plus you could always add a cutout and get the best of both worlds. Open cutout when you race and Flowmaster the rest of the time

Of course it's still fun to pick on the name considering it's kind of misleading. My favorite variations are Flowlessmaster and Flowcrapper

With Headers, Try running Flowmaster with no cats and 3' pipe. Sounds way better!

I plan on getting headers, true duals or y-pipe and cutout. true duals will have 40 series flows too

lol, yea... Flowmaster a.k.a ChokeMaster. One good way to feel the difference of what that Flowmaster does, use an exhaust cutout before the muffler. Run it open and see how your car responds. Close the cutout and compare the two scenerios. Don't let the sound fool you tho when your evaluating this, check for throttle response & acceleration differences.
