Exhaust leak help needed

Ok, this should be an easy one. I believe I have an exhaust leak. The slight muffled tick noise is not noticable when the engine is cold, only after warming up and being driven at least 2-3 miles. The noise is a *lot* louder from underneath the car and with the hood up seems to be coming from the drivers side. Most of my car is stock (see sig). I was wondering if there was a way or cool trick (without any special tools or lift) to check for an exhaust leak? I once saw a dude at a shop cover the exhaust pipe to silent the engine so he could hear what was going on up front, but that SS only had pipes running 1/2 way down the length of the car, making that procedure *much* easier

You can use a piece of fuel hose up to your ear and move the other end around to listen for the noise. It will get louder throught the hose when you are over it.
