exhaust

Hey guys, I have a 93 z28. I took off the cat and I'm debating on getting an slp lm1 or flowmaster super44 or super10. Any suggestions? Oh and I want it to be as loud as possible

Re: exhaust

The Loudmouth is available as a bullet resonator or a catback. The Flowmasters you listed appear to be mufflers only. What are you actually looking for - a full catback, or just a muffler? Is performance a factor, or are you just looking for "loud"? Have you considered a cutout.... loud as it gets.

Re: exhaust

There is little to be gained with just swapping out the muffler. Whichever one sounds best to you.

Re: exhaust

If I were to replace the whole thing which should sound the loudest in your opinion?

Re: exhaust

I have no idea. Personally, I don't like an excessively loud exhaust. Even with the 800HP nitrous setup, I ran dual 3" CarSound cats and a Mufflex 4" catback, with a Flowmaster 4" in/single 4" out crossflow race muffler.

Our local track does not permit open exhaust, requires at least a 4 chamber muffler, and the sound level cannot exceed 90dB at 100-ft from the car. The cats were flanged, so when I ran heavily leaded fuel at the track, I could drop out the cats and put in 3" Borla XR1 race mufflers. Those, plus the 4" catback kept it within the noise limits.

Re: exhaust

What do you think will make it as loud as possible?
