I have been trying to do a considerable amount of research on the engine frame mounts for my 70 camaro. The car came with no frame mounts. I am going to be putting in a LT1 from a 95 Z28 that I am building with a hot cam and ported cylinder heads for a cruiser.

I picked up a set of SBC engine mounts from my fathers friend. Turned out they are for a 67 to 69 camaro or 70's nova due to the lip on the side. None of the holes would line up though.

So I bought a set of BBC mounts for a 70 camaro from another friend for about $40 to see if i was on the right track. The driver's side motor mount lines up beautifully with the holes already there. The passenger side top 2 holes line up, but the bottom is off by a 1/4 inch easily. just the edge of the hole in the frame meets the bottom bracket hole.

I have searched and searched for a basic SBC mount like for a 327, 307 or even 350 for the 70 camaro, but all I can find is the BB frame mounts reproduced.

I am under the impression if i use the correct mount and an earlier SBC engine mount this will bolt right in with no problem, then just use a different transmission cross member.

I have everything from the 95 Z28 as its a complete donor. Should I try and reuse the motor mounts that where part of that K-Frame? Anyone have another suggestion for a motor mount that I can use/try? Hoping to keep the existing holes.
