Electronic Heater Core????
So i have been driving my newer car in the mornings because its just too cold for the z28. When i got to thinking if any1 has done this or how difficult or possible it would be to put an electronic heater core so she heats up faster.

Re: Electronic Heater Core????
You could use the optional 120V plug-in oil heater to keep the engine warm overnight.
If you simply don't get enough heat out of the stock heater core, it probably needs to be flushed out. And, if it's that cold where you live, make sure you are running the correct LT1-specific thermostat, stock 180*F, and that it is working.

You take the supply and return lines off the water pump, and put a garden hose on one end, and flow water through the core. Reverse, flowing water from the opposite heater hose. Flush until crud stops flowing out.
Do not get water on the Optispark distributor. Do not apply full house water pressure to the heater core. Make sure you refill the cooling system correctly, getting all the air out.
