Ok first a hello from sunny south florida and now to the issue at hand. For a few weeks my drivers window on my 95 Z28 has been working intermittently. It was going down but would stick on the way up then function again after a few minutes. Over the last weeks or so it got worst and finally stopped working all together. I'm going to pull door panel off and check the window motor off the car but I have read on many forums regarding the express down module that powers the drivers window and all sorts of mods to bypass the EDM and or modding the actual motors and the autotrix rewire kits. What I'm looking for is some good write up to determine where to start and which mod or mods are more practical.

More than likely, it is just a tired motor. Very common. That's why there is a guide for replacing the motor on my website.

I used said guide a couple years ago for my drivers side motor on my 2000. Guide is awesome and makes the work very fast. I never done one but with shoebox's guide it took me about 30 mins to get it all done.

I recently had the same problem. I replaced my window motor and all was fixed. The hardest part was finding the exact place to drill out the rivets even with the pictures online.

I agree, it's probably just a worn-out motor. I need to replace my driver's side motor again this winter for the 2nd time. Follow the directions on shoebox's site and it'll be a breeze. Took me about 45 minutes, and I'm putzy. Now that I've already replaced it once, the 2nd time should be easy.

I'm chillin'. That why the in the post. People that had never seen the inside of a door panel have used those instructions successfully.

I'd be one of those people that shoebox is referring to. Using his writeup, it took me about 45 minutes. It's really not hard at all, and the writeup is very easy to understand. Especially once you have the door panel off & you're looking at it.

Having the same problem on my mom's 00. The window went down, wouldn't go back up for 5 minutes, then was able to get it to go back up and work fine. IIRC the motor has already been replaced once. I may help her out and try to replace it again

I installed a new motor, two days later it died. Pissed me off that I had to replace it again.
