diffrence between 2002 Trans Am WS6 and 2002 Firehawk?

Just liek title says is there a diffrence besides diffrent hood, and tags and a few inside badges and stuff? Ram-Air trans am that is, i finally got approved for an auto loan and im looking at a 2002 Red Firehawk with 15k miles and a 2002 black ram air trans am with 8k miles, i like the look of the trans am more but if there is a significant performance diffrence iwill go with the firehawk being that they are both the same price...

Thanks and sorry for the horrible spelling/ punctuation

I think the main diffrences other than wheel and hood are some slight suspension mods. If I were you I would get the Firehawk, there are less of them and they are bada**

the performance edge of the firehawk is not that significant. any advantage it would have would be completely erased with the typical bolt-ons that EVERYBODY puts on an LS1 (Lid, Catback).

i vote for the WS6. IMO, that hood is even meaner looking than the hawk.

firehawk was an SLP package that added upgraded springs, swaybars, shocks. they also changed the hood and had an optional spoiler in the later years.

there are not many firehawks, they are relativly rare.

Yes, Firehawks are much more rare. They only made 139 10th Anniversary Hawks like the one in my sig. I think Hawks are one of the sexiest cars on the road. They are sleek and just badass. My car has the Bilstein suspension and Auburn rear-end as well. I would personally go for a Hawk if I were you.

If they're both the same price, I'd definitely get the hawk. You don't see many of them at all, just WS6's where I'm at. Plus they are super sick and retain value a lot better than the WS6's. The Firehawk gets my vote.

Mark-
You see many WS6's in Korea? When I was in Korea all I saw were "Bongo Trucks"! lol
I know what you mean, your talking about back home.

Re: diffrence between 2002 Trans Am WS6 and 2002 Firehawk?

Acctuely around here i see an equal amount of both i guess its cause i live exactly 1 mile from Old Bridge or Englishtown Raceway Park whatever your use to hearing it called nowadays lol. I love both cars, but i love the ram air hood so much more it brings the look of the car together, maybe if the firehawk was black instead of red it would be a diffrent story.

I dont know i still got to ponder, test drive, etc

Im really not looking for rareity either cause this car will be the start of a collection, eventually final year either firehawk or ws6, nice way to start off lol.

The difference in the 2 is about 15 HP if they're both stock. The Hawk wins!
I think the Hawk would get my vote because you really don't see alot on the
road like the WS-6 especially the convt. Hawks. They are both great cars but I like to be rare so I bought a 30th Annv. T.A. but to each its own. Good luck in choosing! You'll enjoy either one and I prefer the color black over red.

both are nice...but i think the firehawk hood looks better...very sleek looking

and the optional low rise spoiler is AWESOME for firehawks

Re: diffrence between 2002 Trans Am WS6 and 2002 Firehawk?

I agree the hood on the hawk looks much sleeker, but i dont liek sleek, i want it to be noticed lol, i mena not like it will be seen very often only cars around here that race are civics and 6 cylinder stangs, i already beat them all with my 89 SuperCoupe, i love the look of both cars, but the TA is much meaner looking, it remind me of my 97 ram. Ill have to really thinkg hard and try and find more cars either way i know ill be happy i miss owning an f-body even though my last one was a POS it was still a fun reliable car.

performance of both is about equal in the real world.

i'll add my $0.02 and say the styling of the WS6 blows the hawk away

reactions at car shows / driving down the street...

WS6: "oh look its yet another one of them there trans am thingies with the bigass gothlic style scoop"

firehawk: "hey is that a firehawk?"
