Did the stealership give me the correct touchup paint?

I have a '96 Z28, Polo Green Metallic.

I ordered some touchup paint (gave them my VIN), and they gave me:

"1 #12345872 CODE 48 WA 9806"
"LACQUER TOUCH-UP PAINT
DK. YELLOW GREEN MET"

I want to make sure this is the correct stuff before it goes on my car.

Paint number is listed on the label in the glove box.

If you arent sure, use a small amount in an inconspicous place and let it dry and compare. The paint code is the last one placed a little further down from the rst of your RPOs on your drivers side door jamb.

Door says "U 9806". Touchup paint says "WA 9806". Does this mean it's different or the same?

If you're worried about it you can go to any body shop for touch up paint. As long as they have the paint code anyone can mix up a little bottle.

I know that's always an option.....I just want to know if the stuff I got is the same with the numbers matching but the letters not.

Re: Did the stealership give me the correct touchup paint?

The colors name is correct. I had a '96 RS that was that exact color. It's really called Dark Yellow Green Metallic, even though you don't really see the yellow. Although, your car has probably faded over time, therefore, it would be best to go to a auto. paint company to have your car color matched for the correct shade. My paint looked good and glossy but it was faded, making the color you buy off the self, or dealer, darker.
