Dash Lights, Radio Lights, etc, go off when head/parking lights are turned on
Anytime I turn on either the Parking or Headlights, all the interior ones crap out. I'm thinking a bad ground? Maybe the switch went bad? Please help!!!
Foglights were wired into the car and I have used them some. They are wired to that when I turn them on, the interior lights dim a "second cycle". The "first cycle" being when you turn on your headlights the clock dims. It dims even more. Not a problem, just FYI. Maybe it will help you help me

Where can I check if the switch(s) shorted? Thanks for all your help thus far!

Just a question... Does the car have an aftermarket radio? Also, I believe that you can not get power from the ashtray light as it is connected through the reostat (SP? / dimmer) and causes a ground loop situation.

I should have been more specific. It looks like the foglights power is simply tapped into the wires going to the ashtray light. If that lights goes through the dimmer, then it's very likely the extra power draw just fried the dimmer switch right?
Sure hope so.

Ok guys, I fixed it! 5 minutes, $20 and vuelia!
I bought a new dimmer/headlight switch from a board member (EddieP -- Best seller EVAR!). Put it in and bam everything is back to normal. Needless to say the fogs are coming out this weekend though. Thanks for all the help!
