college and 2000 to spend

I found 1 forum on what to get but nothing on their is anything I would even consider doing so I have about $2100 to spend to get things running right. and I am a student right now so the car is pretty much stock except the chokemaster that came with it.

So right now the car has a failing opti has the code for it so obviously that is a must but what about other upgrade what would be the smart path to take right now with it. The car sees 50/50 mix highway and round town driving.

thanks.

Could you post some basic info like year, transmission, anything that could help us out. You can look at my signature or anyone's signature for an idea of useful info.

Replace the opti and waterpump and save the rest. College is expensive, I just graduated last May.

Re: college and 2000 to spend

i gotta 95 a4 also...and also in college

new opti, plugs, wires
new waterpump ( cheap brand new at autozone)
and i'd start upgrading the suspension..15-16 year old car.. mine is shot

CAI?

Just all depends when your last tune up was, how many miles you got, and how good your car is falling apart on you.

i've had to replace a window motor, need to do drivers side or at least lube it up again.
fuel pump replaced
regulator replaced
opti, plugs, wires
prolly need new 02's
got a new fuel line ($26) from the drivers seat to the fuel rail (kink in mine)
new vacuum hoses (some cracked)
list goes on....
