Clutch
Hey guys, I re-dropped in a 383 into my 93 z28 and and dropped in a new clutch (stock). I have a 6-speed and I was wondering if there is any clutches you all would recommend. Preferably twin disk, can handle a decent amount of power, and last a good amount of time. I see clutches from monster and diamond but they say for 98-02, would those still fit the lt1?

Re: Clutch
I had the Street Twin behind my 381, and it took massive abuse. 6,000 RPM dumps on full slicks on sticky track. Yet still friendly for street driving.

Re: Clutch
When I swapped in my 383 LT1 this year, I installed a Centerforce Dual Friction. It works great - its smooth and has great feel and locks up good. I'm running 460hp/440 lbs-ft at the flywheel and Centerforce says this is approaching its limit.

Re: Clutch
I ran 2 Centerforce clutches in my 97SS and burned through both of them (about 2000 miles each). I heard later that they recommended an adjustable clutch cylinder because the stock one would not fully disengage the clutch in some cars. 93-97 Camaro/Firebird LT1 Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kit - Hawks Third Generation
I use a Spec stage 3 now on the 383 and love it: SPEC Clutch Stage 3+ - Chevy Camaro 1993-1997 5.7L LT-1 SPEC Clutch SC423F.
