Can somebody confirm a part number for me?

I am going to order a set of 4.11's for my Camaro.

I just want to make sure I order the correct ones........

I was originally looking at 4.10 gearsets but have since heard that there is a 4.11 motive avaliable for our cars that is stronger.

I think I may have found the part number but there seems to be more than one set - and I'm a bit confused.

What I've got is part #GM 7.5-411 - but there is also #YG GM7.5-411 and a #YG GM7.5-411T (looks like the "T" stands for thick)

What are the difference between these gears and which one do I want?

If the Y stands for thick, then I suspect it is for a 2 series carrier.

Re: Can somebody confirm a part number for me?

Hmm.......since I've got 3.42's that means I have a 3 series carrier I think.....

I guess the gears with the "Y" are not for me? Is that what you're saying?

I'll just have to go to a dealership and get them to look up the correct ones I suppose..............and then buy them someplace else....

Those numbers are not GM parts numbers.

Re: Can somebody confirm a part number for me?

call up thunderracing.com, and ask them if they stock the Motive 4:11's 37/9 cut...but make sure its the 37/9, not the 41/10... some ppl say they have gotten actual 4:11's from them, and others say they got the 4:10's (41/10) cut.
Thats all i can think of

Re: Can somebody confirm a part number for me?

Thanks a lot!
I sent an email with questions........they have a gear changing package available. Works out to be a better deal.

Now my only problem is what to do about the speedo being incorrect now.....
Hypertech programmers are too expensive for just that one thing....
