the radiator has 4 tabs that stick out 2 on each side the support has 4 hooks (best way i can describe) 2 on each side you have to lift the radiator up above the hooks then slide it back down on the hooks on the support

You can always check Shoebox for info like this:

http://shbox.com/1/radiator_mounting.jpg

You should add a "Signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods. I think we are all assuming from your screen name that you have a 93-97 LT1.

Here'a link to the 94 factory manual. Should be about the same for your 96, with regard to the radiator.:

Free Cloud Storage - MediaFire

Double click on a filename to start the download for that file. This site has a good amount of ads and some popups, but doesn't require you to install anything, just click on the "close" or "X" of each unwanted popup. Pay attention to not click to close the file download popup message. After the file download, close the browser download page to start on the next file. The files are pure pdf with no added items.
Go to page 6B-20 in Volume 1 of 2, Part 1 of 2.

Once you look at the tabs on the radiator and slots on the car, you will see how it goes on. It always seems to be a bit of a struggle for me to get them all in at the same time.

IIRC, the slots are on the mounting for the a/c condenser. If that is removed, you don't have a way to mount the radiator.
