Which CAI do you like the best?

LPE sells a smaller K&N with their kits now to keep everything inside the splash guards, but they do offer the HUGE one which I have used for 10 years...It works great...I removed the splash guard..It hangs about 3" off of the street, even below the front air dam.......

I have the pic of the LPE filter next to a coke bottle, post your email and I'll send it out.

SLP unit is what I had.
At the track, I would use 3 ice packs.
1 on the twin tube SLP CAI
and 2 on the intake manifold (one on each side)
after 30-45 min of this my times would be .3 faster. Consistantly.
The CAI made of steel will hold the cold of the ice better and give me some good gains on hot Houston days.

Another question.
If you have a metal tube, what about insulating it?
Would this keep heat out, or hold it in?

I was wondering as the car is an autox car.
So it will see 50 seconds of on and off the gas and brakes and then set for a few minutes before doing it again.
But I've since added the Moroso CAI. Looks like it is REALLY nice quality. The filter is a little small. And the plate in the fender well was a little heavy for my tasts, but otherwise I like it.
A real M/F to install. Just like they ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE. Basically the K&N was way easier to install than the Moroso. BUT the filter on the Moroso is WAY easier to install than the K&N. So they evened out and were about the same.
I installed the plastic trim. When I had the K&N I would hit the filter W/a cone while autoxing and it would pop off. Of course it's right in front of the tire. When it was all said and done I had $300 in that K&N. $200 for the kit, and $50 each for two extra filters.
