Another vote for SLP -- same gains as any other CAI, but I personally just like the looks... It stands out, but not so much that it takes away from the rest of the engine bay.

But doesn't the SLP have the disadvantage of being metal?

In my opinion, I have the SLP, and I've felt the cai after a hard days run, and it feels cold to the touch. Granted, after stop and go driving, it gets warm, but never when I've raced with it, just my $.02

Very comon confusion. the ONLY disadvange it that it might weigh 1.5 pounds more. But about heat soaking, it doesnt get hot unless you let the car sit still after you shut it off. I've came home from a 30 min stop and go drive, and the SLP CAI was cold.

SLP for looks... even though the paint on mine looks horrid, it will eventually look nice when I paint it.

Another question.

If you have a metal tube, what about insulating it?

Would this keep heat out, or hold it in?

I like my SLP Ram Air H.O. hood with the baffles cut out. Does that count?

My vote goes to SLP. Too bad you have to order it from SLP though, since they are notorious for using "UPS 8 Week Ground" to ship it.
