A/C Guys

can i flow nitrogen through a newly repaired A/C system to revive an accumulator, or hold avacuum on the system to boil off whatever moisture is in the accumulator? i'm trying not to have to replace the dryer.

Re: A/C Guys

the drier is much cheaper than the compressor. just something to think about.

Re: A/C Guys

you can use a vaccum for this but the system must be recovered of all freon first. if you are using an a/c machine on this which is the iesiest way, recover the freon and then put it on vac for at least 15 min. then recharge. also change the orifice tube if it is the one that is replacable that is in the accumulator under the switch. can restrict and cause problems. but if you are sure it is only moisture you can vac it but i will tell you if moisture is in the accumulator it is also in the rest of the system.
