bleeding the clutch (ls1 t56)

ive had issues with my clutch, and am about to replace the master cylinder (im 99% sure it's the issue, since i can hear fluid moving thru the master cylinder form inside the car when the clutch reengages by itself, and im not losing fluid. however, the fluid is also rather disgusting, and im sure itll break the seals on the new mc pretty soon. so i want to remove all the old fluid and put in new stuff. but the only way to open the bleed valve seems to be with a socket, so i cant put a tube on the bleed screw. it looks like the fluid will go into the bellhousing. ive read that i can lift up the rear of the car, and the fluid in there will just drain out. is this true? i dont really like the idea of brake fluid hanging out in there. thanks for your help
