Adjustable Chip?
What do you guys think of this?

I cant understand how this thing might help the performance of my car. He doesnt mention what exactly it does.
Maybe it intercepts one of the PCM signals and modifies it based on the position of the ****.
Any input?

it's
i can't see what it could possibly change...other than maybe shift firmness or something lame like that.
maybe an on off thing to fool some sensors...which is never good.

thats what i was thinkin. Something to fool a sensor or two.
I dont want any of that crap on my car.
I heard those little things that modify the readings on the IAT sensor screw up **** too
Is that true?

they don't really screw things up...in some situations the can cause the computer to add more fuel (thier purpose) and some spark advance in turn.
BUT
since the incoming air is actually quite warm...it can cause detonation and knock...which in turn trips the knock sensor and causes knock retard...negating any performance gain by the fuel/spark increase
i have one, i don't use it in the summer around florida...just the cooler winter.
i'm going to look into the KR problem now that i have a scanner

I say it's better to get your engine tuned once, and done right, to match the camshaft, etc., then just leave the computer in charge of the timing and fuel.
