Accident repair questions

My daughter has had an accident with my beautiful 2002 B4C ex-Virginia State Police car. She rear ended the Mecedes in front of herI have a few questions about making repairs;

Both air bags deployed, can I replace only the pass side air bag, or do I need to replace the dash panel itself? It appears I can replace the air bag alone in the steering wheel.

Wher would be the best place to locate a good hood? I have looked at a few so far and I think I could find a better one.

Thanks, Andy

Re: Accident repair questions

The pass airbag answer escapes me at the moment. As for the hood, it should be pretty easy to get one on the cheap, considering you have a non-SS car. I've seen them on craigslist for around $75; you could also post in the parts wanted section on here. Another good source might be a DIY-type salvage yard- I've scored a few clean items from the local pull-a-part for next to nothing. I might also suggest this sort of place for the airbags, as every car I've pulled parts from has had the bags intact. Most of what we get here are 6-cylinder cars that have either rotted out or had a minor impact, so they tend to be good for bolt-on body panels and interior pieces.
