97 SS identification
I tried a search and couldn't find this.
I am going to look at a 97 SS tomorrow. What is the build code(s) that I should look for on the door to determine if this is a true SS? If that is missing what other items should I look for to make sure it is not a fake SS?

You should find wu8 on the door rpo code and there should be slp stickers on the door and on top of radiator. The last thing is to get vin# and call slp in nj and they will tell you if its a true ss or not and they'll also give you the production # of car. Good luck.
