Re: 97 lt1 running rich
Have you scanned it for codes? Have you checked the fuel pressure and fuel pressure regulator?
How old are the O2 sensors?
When it won't start, what exactly happens - does the starter turn the engine, or not? If the starter cranks the engine, does it fire at all, like it's trying to start? Does it start and then stall? Is this when it smells of gas/flooded? Will it start if you hold the accel pedal on the floor BEFORE you turn the key to "start", and hold it there while cranking, until the engine starts? That puts the PCM in "clear flood" mode.

I never changed the 02 sensors. An i was told it's the regulator.. An yes the car was starting an cuts off an dies after 2 seconds.an yea the only way IT WOULD START UNLESS I HOLD THE PEDDLE TO THE FLOOR. But now it's not jumping. I'm getting good spark.

Starter works great. It's cranking but not starting.. 2 days ago it was starting. Now it's nothing. FUEL PUMP STILL COMES ON.. An if it start it will smell like bad gas, if I drive it . It back fires Badd!!!!

Have you checked the fuel pressure?
Someone already told you it's the fuel pressure regulator (FPR), could be the fuel pressure regulator based on the symptoms you describe.... gotta check it. Pull the vacuum compensation line off the fuel pressure regulator, checking for wet fuel in the line. If you have that, the diaphragm in the FPR is damaged, and the unit needs to be replaced. That would be pouring raw fuel into the intake manifold, possibly enough to wash down the lubrication on the cylinder walls, contaminate the oil, and cause serious engine damage. Check the oil for a fuel smell.
Checking the fuel pressure would also indicate if there is a problem with the regulator. If it's not leaking, could be leaking injectors. Pressure test will pick that up as well.
Hook up the pressure gauge, let the fuel pump prime - without trying to start. Note the fuel pressure when the pump shuts off. Watch how fast the pressure drops after that.

Yea I changed for wet lines. An it's super dry once I pull the line... An will it be ok if I had my injectors cleaned by an injector shop? Instead of buying new 1s... An how do I DO THE PRESSURE TEST? We're do I buy the fuel tester from??
