96 SS. Good price??

Hi. Just purchased a 96 SS with 7800 miles (yes, 7800) for 12K. Black hardtop, 6 speed, leather , SLP level 2 package. I have been hearing all kind of prices out there for these. I feel like I got a good price since he originally wanted $14.5. Is this a good deal?? Thanks.

Re: 96 SS. Good price??

Basically you bought a new car.Sounds sweet. You got lucky I think.Probably has original tires, mine did.Had new Cooper Zeon RS3-A's put on and am really happy.I would get all the fluids changed, belt, hoses ect. There is one thing not to do like I did. When cleaning the inside of the windshield ,don't lean on the dashboard to reach the bottom of the windshield as I cracked mine. The dash is as thin as a potato chip.I bought a dash cover to cover it up,but I still know it's cracked.Hope this helps.

Re: 96 SS. Good price??

Thanks FatDog. Yeah i used to have a 94 Z so im up to speed on these cars. Ive always wanted a 96/97 SS. I found this one by accident. Yea they just put new brakes, Cooper Rs3S tires and steel brake lines. Car is literally brand new. 2 owners. I think I got a hell of a deal if you ask me. Just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks.
