No, connects to a stud on the side of the 93 throttle body quadrant. Throttle cable from pedal to the throttle body is the same for all years, except models with traction control.

That isn't where the TV cable for the trans connects. That's where the accel pedal cable connects. Should have a small metal cylinder on the end, that slides into the hole in the side of the quadrant.
Your 93 throttle body quadrant should have 3 connections:
1 - the cable from the accel pedal, that connects where you are trying to connect the cable in your photo. As noted, the cable has a metal cylinder that slides into the hole in the side of the quadrant, then you align the cable in the groove in the quadrant.
2 - the cruise control cable. Both the accel pedal cable and the cruise control cable mount in the bracket on the side of the manifold. The cruise control cable has a black plastic clip on the end that slips over the stud connection on the arm pointing down in your picture.
3 - the TV cable. Has a black plastic clip on it, just like the cruise control cable, and slips over a similar stud on an arm that stick up, and is not in your picture. It's that arm, pointing upward that is only on the 1993 throttle body.
The plastic clip on the end of the TV cable, and the arm it attaches to is shown in "View A".
