Re: 94 lt1 lost throttle power
I just bought a fuel pump pressure tester at Harbor Freight for $17.00 with a coupon.Haven't had time to try it out yet(this is uncharted territory for me)but learning from this forum and watching u-tube(especially the vette guy) I think I will give it a go one of these days.Anyway,I would put die-electric grease on both ends of the coil wire and clean up the coil terminal before installing the wire.Hope this helps.

This is the flexible part of the line in front of the filter. This should have made a mess. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?I ran a fram filter just to capture a lot of crap in the tank then put on a ac delco filter. My car sat most of it's life before I got it.Hope this helps.

And you actually heard the pump run for 2 seconds when you turned the key to run?

Re: 94 lt1 lost throttle power
Most likely your check engine light is on. If it's not it will be if the motor runs like poo. First things first is unhook the battery to "reset" the cars computer. The check engine light should only come on for a second then go off. If it comes right back leave the battery unhooked ling enough to get the service engine soon light "same thing" to turn off right after the car starts up no matter how badly you think it runs the cars computer should be in limp mode. Mass airflow sensor is the most common thing to die first or give problems all of a sudden. Your fuel pump should be audible meaning it should make noise for a few seconds after the key is turned to the on position. If you hear it, chances are it's probably OK.
