93 speedometer correction

After months of trying to correct the speedometer on my 93 6spd, I found a solution. A truspeed calibrator by Superlift.(The 4x4 people) They will correct up to 28%. Just splice into VSS wire on back of computer, plug "D" it's brown, pin 8 grn/white. Watch out for pin 7, same color. it controls fuel pump relay, guess how I found out. Any way hope this helps.

What part # and website did you get it? How much was it? How does it adjust?

It was 169.95. I got it from JCWhitney, but they are all over.(anyone who sells superlift over the counter) I just threw the box away, but the application is for 92-current GM truck SUV. It has real good directions. It adjusts with a reostat up to 28%. Mine was right at 27%. I went from 2.73 to 3.73. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Do you know which wires you hooked it up to? Maybe this is something that can be built if it is only a rheostat.

thanks

It has 4 wires. Red=switched 12v, black=ground, green=vss wire towards computer, yellow=vss wire towards main harness.
Vss wire located in brown plug" D" pin 8 on back of computer.
I'm not sure what resistance their rheostats have to be accurate and computer friendly.
