88 V6 to V8 Help
I have a 1988 Camaro. I purchased this car knowing that it had a 2.8 V6 engine, however, I would like to install a 350 V8 with TPI. I Guess, what I really need to know, is Will it bolt to my existing trans? I saw on another website that said in 1988 they all had 700R4's? Doesn't a V8 Bolt right to a 700R4 or is there a bell housing problem? I looked under the car and the trans pan is square with a notch on one side. I am not sure what I am getting into here and I need HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

better off asking in the "third gen forum".
but as far as i know, the trans will not just bolt up, the bellhousing IS different. not sure if the motor mounts are the same either.
but alot of guys have done that conversion...ask over there
