The stock LS1 fuel system supplies fuel via a dead-end line (not a recirculated system), at 58psi. I would use a 255 LPH pump to insure adequate fuel for future mods. Just make sure the pump is rated to supply that amount of fuel at 58psi. The fuel pressure to the LS1 is pressure regulated by a "bypass" type system back at the tank. There is no vacuum compensation.
If you want to upgrade to a recirc system, rather than dead-end, use the rails from a 97 Corvette LS1 (I believe that is the only year that had a recirc system), or use aftermarket rails set up for recirculation.
