I am working on my 96 and I want to remove the small triangular black panel right behind the doors on each side. Does anyone know how it is attached and what I have to do to pull it? Thanks.

I checked my 97 manual and can only find a reference in the convertible section.
However on the coup there is a "roof side window weatherstrip retainer" at this location that is held in by two screws. They may hold this panel in as well.
You may want to check with a friendly body shop and see if they can help.

from what I read the coup panel is held on by double sided body tape. Convertibles are held on by two screws. The coup needs to be pried off and usually can't be saved. Search on triangular sail panel , not to be confused with the larger sail panel on the roof behind T-tops.
