100 plus degree weather causing trans to not shift right
I've had my car for about a week now and so far I've changed the plugs, oil, trans fluid twice and the coolant tonight. Its been getting up to and past 100 degrees the past few days the car barely wants to shift when its that warm. I took it out tonight after changing the coolant and it shifted fine(cooled off some today).
What are my options to get my temps down? I've seen my temps go past the third mark on the temp gauge but not quite up to the fourth sitting idling in traffic. I'm kind of strapped for cash right now so it can't be anything to expensive. I was thinking a 160 degree thermostat or a frame rail transmission cooler. I live in the deep south so its not uncommon to see temps from 104 to 107 in the summer.
Thanks
