Re: 100+
why would they overheat? that's what the radiator is for.
and 100mph for me is only about 2600 rpm or so (2000 is 85mph). now if you mean 100 in 3rd gear or something...that's different.
hell i ran my old 87 iroc with 175k miles at 95-115 for nearly 18 hours, only time we slowed down was to get gas. ran like a champ.

Re: 100+
Is this some lame kind of trolling, or what? Even a stock V8 4th gen would be loafing at 100mph in high gear (with stock gearing). With a six speed and 3.42's 100mph would about 2,000rpm. As was said, it would run out of fuel before anything else.

Re: 100+
the late model t56 and the 342 gears, 2000 rpm is 85 on my car. not sure about the early t56s, they had a .62 sixth instead of .50, but they also had different gears.
but yeah...what is so noble about dying in a car?? i dont' think an 85 camaro will make it at 150...they were speed limited at 145 i beleive, and there were not many that were even tuned up that much...some of the z28s and the irocs.
