02 Trans Am no headlights after car wash

Yesterday morning my headlights worked just fine. That afternoon I washed the car, now they will not come on. They do not pop up and the headlights themselves do not light up. Going to check a few things today but looking for any other suggestions.

There's really only two things to go wrong in this case other than wires and splices: the light switch itself and a fusible link among those next to the underhood fuse/relay boxes.
The light switch does have an internal circuit breaker that will reset after a period of time. If nothing else works, try unplugging all 4 headlamps and waiting an hour to see if the headlamp door motors work then. If it does, that would indicate a short in the area of the headlamps.

The motors work when you unplug all 4 headlights. I'm figuring there is a short somewhere. I get continuity to ground from the ground pin and hot pin of the headlight connectors. The breaker does seem to do a reset and I will get 12v on all of the hot pins, but plug in a headlight and it all goes away.

Try unplugging all 4 again, then after confirming that the motors work, plug them in again one at a time. Check the motors after each one is plugged in. You can either narrow it down to a signal lamp or verify that it doesn't matter which one(s) are unplugged. If it is just one, there is a short, and yes the lamps themselves can short internally. If it doesn't matter which one(s) are unplugged, the circuit connection is weak somewhere, perhaps at the fusible link or switch.
