$136 for upper and lower ball joints? What the?
I searched on here and saw to go with either MOOG or GM replacement ball joints.
O'Reilly's carries the MOOG, but they're $44.99 ea. for the uppers and $22.99 ea. for the lowers. $136! Add in the cost of a set of Prothane bushings, $30, and you're already at $166. That's almost what a set of tubular uppers costs.
That's assuming you do all the bushing and ball joint work yourself. I was quoted at one shop $140 just to R&R my bushings. I burned them out though.
I just have a hard time justifying spending almost $140 on these ball joints, seems like a waste on these stock control arms.
Has anyone bought the GM replacements from Dal or Jason? What do those run about pricewise?
This sucks. I've got one with a little hole in the boot on a lower A-Arm, I might just replace that one ball joint, and just save my money for some tubulars.

I just looked through GM Parts Direct (.com).
Lower 22156500
$43.31
Upper 22145478
$51.27
So figure through Dal or Jason is going to be a little bit cheaper, but damn!!!! Plus add in the cost to press out/push in if you don't have the right tools?
Yikes

Upon further examination, the BMR upper A-Arms don't come with ball joints anyways, so you're out ~$80-$100 to buy ball joints for those as well.
The lowers come with ball joints installed though.
I guess I gotta pony-up and waste more money.

I was charged $59 for a pair of Moog uppers from Global West. But I was getting thier upper arms at the same time. But who knows maybe thats everyday price?
I have the 1LE arms for lowers so I have whatever the ball joint is thats on those.I know differs from stock. Not sure. But I did pay $260 for 2-1LE arms loaded with ball joints and bushings.
