i want to know one thing if fuel pump is weak so i will having a bad gas mileage or not. if not what are the other thing which i can check for to get good gas mileage.

fuel injectors, bad flowing fuel injectors can give you worse gas mileage

thankx for the reply but how will i know that my injactor are bad and my camaro is stock with 3.23 gears with 15.5 gallons of tank. so what will be the total miles mileage i will get on full tank. i will be very greatfull if some one will help me with this situation.

A tuneup and other maintenance with improve the cars mpg. How you drive will make a huge difference. First you need to know the current mpg and your driving style and can figure out how your doing and if you need to fix something on the car. I found the best way is to fill up and drive on the freeway for a while and refill up and so how your doing. In town has to many variables and for me its impossible to do since I get on the (wot) car to much.

First, provide SPECIFIC info on your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods. No one can help you without that info. It should be put in the form of a "Signature" so it shows up at the bottom of every post.

What is your calculated miles per gallon, and under what driving conditions - city, highway, mixed?

Hard to believe fuel mileage is a concern in Dubai.... isn't gasoline really cheap?

my camaro is 95 stock lt1 v8 3.23 gears and no mods basic stock car.
In dubai the hiking prices of gasoline is making hard for low earning guys to keep up to the love for camaro specially the v8 version.
the full tank for my car is 185 mile per tank with out a/c on in city.
the mpg would be 12 mpg in city.
and with a/c is on because of the hot climate 8 mpg in city.
and not have tried on highway.
if something can be done to improve the mileage i will be very greatful.

You get the same mpg as me. Its hard to do better unless you drive conservatively. Kinda ruins the run of the Camaro though. Unless you have maintenance thats behind, not a whole you can do. Olds plugs, bad O2 sensors, dirty maf sensor, dirty air cleaner and so on can rob a little of the mpg.

Calculate you miles per gallon by dividing the miles driven since the last fill up by the number of gallons pumped in this fill up. Anything else like " miles per tank" is not very accurate.
