hhhheeeeeeeeeelllllppppp no start

hey guys,

i just bought a 95 z28 convertible six speed, and it wont start

i first started with a new battery being the car has sat since '10

it had a aftermarket alarm, i do not like those so i unplugged all the wires from box and took box out. there were no remotes either from gm or the aftermarket alarm

then went to start it and it had no dash indicators, just that god awful chiming

so i thought the ignition switch was shot so i replaced it with my auto z28 ignition switch and wallllahhh dash lights (but the blue and black plugs had signs of burning a little

so i proceeded to start car foot all the way down on clutch and just clicking from box under gas pedal

so i talked to a buddy of mine and he said check neutral safety switch, if all else falls cut wires and connect them

so i cut wires on the rectangle switch and still nothing.

i am at a dead end any help will be appreciated

How do you know you didn't fail to reconnect a critical wire when you took the alarm out?

Yes what Fred said...if it had a remote start or even an integrated ignition kill, by unplugging it you may be dead in the water. Plug the module back in, look for a valet switch that you can switch while the ignition key is in the "on" position. Might have to google an installers manual for the alarm box to see what input/outputs it has in order to be able to defeat it. I hate hack aftermarket alarms as well. If you get stuck, stop before you get too crazy, and I'll swing by with my meter, lmk....
