Help my poor camaro
So lately ive been havin some problems with my baby. When ever im driving i lose power between 3000-4000 rpm. Kind of an odd problem. Any help there?
Oh and lately ive been sputtering as i was driving down the road. Im thinking maybe a bad fuel pump mainly because of the fact my camaro is also having starting problems. It doesnt start right away until i turn the car off and turn it back over.
Sorry for the paragraph but any help would be great. Thanks!

If you think you have a problem in a certain area, then test for it. Starting issues are usually the check ball in the pump. Not the pump itself. However the ball doesn't have an impact on the running of the engine once it's started. So you could have 2 problems both related to the same item.
I wouldn't expect fuel pressure to be an issue only in a certain RPM range and not be an issue above that range. Simply because the need for fuel becomes greater as the load is increased.
When was the last time you replaced the fuel filter????
Seems about 2 years ago something changed in fuel that is causing a great deal of problems with all types of equipment. We are selling items related to fuel that we never used to sell in the past. They just never failed. Until now that is.
When was the last time you looked inside the distributor cap for corrosion????

I remember when my fuel pump started to go... I started hearing a whining noise coming from the rear of my car, and then i would go give it gas, and it seemed like the car was being held back. Whenever I drove it slow, it was fine, but the minute i would try to pick up speed, it wouldn't go fast? Is this something that's happening to you're car?

Best thing to do would be check the fuel pressure, at idle, under load at 3,000-4,000 and above, and when the engine shuts down. That would be a better idea than just spending money on new parts, hoping you get lucky with the right one.
