Fuel Pump?

Fuel Pump?
So i started my car up moved it out of the garage for a few hours while i worked on another project. When i was done i started it back up put it in reverse went about 2 feet and it died. I checked fuel pressure i get about 6psi on the prime but as soon as the pump kicks off it drops to 0 instantly. im thinking it is a fuel pump issue, any ideas of something else i could check before i drop the tank. FPR? Suggestions?

Re: Fuel Pump?
Don't pinch the nylon line, it will be compromised. The dealer tool inventory includes a valve that inserts between the return hard line and the nylon line.
If the pressure only builds to 6psi, the regulator would have to be wide open. You could take the nylon line off, push a small diameter hose firmly over the return hard line, and put the end of the hose in a large container. If you only have 6psi, and the fuel is flowing into the container, the FPR has failed. If nothing comes out of the line, the pump has failed.
Obviously, this has to be done outside, away from ignition sources, and the hose must be carefully set up so as not to discharge anywhere other than the container.
Have you checked the vacuum line on the FPR for wet fuel? Have you checked for leaking injectors, which could hydrolock the engine?
