I have a 1995 z28 ,at, conv, mostly stock just a different cat back exhaust on it. I have recently been driving only to have it shut off randomly. It doesn't give any warning when it does it but it cuts off the fuel to the motor. After letting in sit for about 10 minutes it will usually start back up. This usually happens in the first mile or so after starting it up, so its really not even warmed up yet. I have replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay and I also made sure the ground wire for the fuel pump was good. When I tried to start it I noticed a noise coming from the relay box by the motor, I pulled the traction control relay out and the car started. So far the car hasn't stalled out again but I have only put about 20 miles on it since. Has anyone else had a problem with the traction control or heard about this kind of problem.

Found out the problem, it was the opti. I hate those things.

The same. 97 SS. Summit opti. Connector problem. Loose contact or someting similar. Could not find an encoder replacement. eplaced with better opti. B.
