Can DTC 36 and 18 be related?
im wondering if one could cause another, and if not which i should troubleshoot first. As it stands, my engine will turn over (with some difficulty and many cranks) and idle EXTREMELY low and choppy, and its throwing codes 18 and 36. very foreign feeling to me, ive never experienced an issue similar to this. just wondering which path to start down. thanks guys.

18 is only about injector electrical faults. 36 is only about the loss of the Opti hi-res signal, which is not necessary for the engine to run. Make sure the code is 18 and not 16, which would be a much worse code affecting the Opti low-res signal and that is necessary.
If the code is really 18, focus on that one first.

Yup yup I have 18 for sure. Looks like I'll be digging through some wiring if I haven't blown a fuse. First things first gotta get the car home lol. Luckily I got it to the park a quarter mile away.

First check for 12V on the pink wire at each injector connector (key on/engine off). Then pull harness clips and check for 12-15ohms across the two pins of each injector. If you are OK at that point, get a 'noid light and run the engine to check if the PCM is supplying the ground to fire each injector.
