1993 LT1 flashing codes 16 and 36

My car dies randomly. it starts up fine and it only dies once or twice every couple of weeks. i haven't been able to check much other than the codes because of the weather. Anyway, does this pretty much mean i need a new opti or is there something else i should check or do?

Check the short Opti harness that runs from the bracket on the passenger side of the intake manifold to the Opti. Look at the connectors on both ends for corrosion or bent pins. Look for bare or frayed wires. If it's not that it's the Opti.
